    WHY TAKE THE D.E.L.E?
    * Do you know Spanish, but without a certificate which proves it?
    * Have you studied Spanish, but you need to know at what level you are?
    * Does your workplace ask you for a diploma which accredits your knowledge
    of Spanish?
    * Do you want to have a diploma for Spanish which is valid in the entire
    world?

    The DELEs (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera), issued by the Ministry of Educacion and Science of Spain, offer an official accreditation on the degree of mastery of the Spanish language for citizens of countries where Spanish is not the official language. They test your ability to read, write, speak and undestand Spanish.

    * Certificado Inicial (intermediate-mid/threshold level)
    * Diploma Básico (high-intermediate level)
    * Diploma Superior (advanced level)
    The DELE Certificado Inicial acccredits the sufficient knowledge of the language to be able to cope with a range of situations which require an elementary use of the language.
    The DELE Básico accredits a sufficient knowledge of the language that allows communication in customary situations of every day life where specialized use is not required.
    The DELE Superior accredits necessary knowledge of the language as to allow communication in situations which require an advanced use of Spanish and knowledge of its cultural background.
    The exam for obtaining the DELE (Inicial, Básico and Superior) consists of five tests:
    readingcomprehension, writing expression, listening comprehension, grammar and vocabulary, and oral expression.
    To obtain the DELE, the grade "apto" (satisfactory) is required on all the tests within the same examination period.
    The Diplomas are recognized not only by official institutions of Spanish speaking countries, but also, increasingly by corporations, chambers of commerce and educational institutions of the United States and Canada.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    * Proof of citizenship of a country where Spanish is not the official language.
    * Age 16 or older for the Diploma Superior. There is no minimun age required for the Diploma Básico.
